Christmas Countdown - Day 9

Let's talk about traditions. Everyone has them, especially around the holidays. We would like to share one of our many today. When it comes to Christmas ornaments, we especially love some of our vintage ones, but the ones that really mean so much to us are the individual ones we get every year.

You see, we have this thing that we do as a family. We live in Calgary and are in the mountains quite often. The one trip that we do make though, that is quite special, is our yearly ornament shopping trip to Banff. We make a day of it, grab some lunch, enjoy the beautiful scenery and shop for our new ornaments. Everyone in our family picks one ornament for the year, we put a date on the back of it and hang it on the tree when we get home. It is so nice to look at the ornaments during the holidays and be reminded of all our great family trips.

With that in mind, we have also found some really wonderful, hand made ornaments on Etsy.
